Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AllerCool is a multi-action combination ophthalmic solution developed by Optho Pharma for the symptomatic relief of allergic conjunctivitis and eye irritation. It contains a combination of active ingredients including the antihistamine chlorpheniramine maleate, the vasoconstrictors phenylephrine hydrochloride and naphazoline hydrochloride, the lubricant hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC), boric acid as an antiseptic, and cooling agents camphor and menthol. Together, these components work synergistically to reduce redness, swelling, itching, and watering of the eyes while providing a soothing, cooling sensation and improving tear film stability.
