Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Allergin Globuli (also known as Klosterfrau Allergin Globuli) is a homeopathic pharmaceutical product developed by MCM Klosterfrau for the treatment and relief of hay fever (allergic rhinitis) symptoms, such as watery/itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and respiratory mucosal irritation. The active ingredient is a homeopathic dilution of *Adhatoda vasica* (Indian lungwort) at the D2 potency (Adhatoda vasica Dil. D2). *Adhatoda vasica* has a long history of use in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for respiratory ailments. Its primary bioactive quinazoline alkaloids, such as vasicine and vasicinone, are believed to contribute to its bronchodilatory, anti-inflammatory, and antiallergic properties, potentially by modulating histamine H1 and acetylcholine receptors to prevent bronchoconstriction and reduce allergic airway responses.
