Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Allergoid L-tyrosine adsorbed is a subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (AIT) product developed by ANALLERGO for the treatment of respiratory allergies, including allergic rhinitis and asthma. The therapy utilizes allergoids—allergens that have undergone chemical modification (typically via glutaraldehyde) to reduce their IgE-binding capacity, thereby minimizing the risk of immediate allergic reactions during administration. These allergoids are adsorbed onto L-tyrosine, a naturally occurring amino acid that serves as a biodegradable adjuvant. The L-tyrosine adjuvant creates a depot at the injection site, allowing for the slow and sustained release of the allergen, which promotes the induction of peripheral T-cell tolerance, increases the production of protective IgG4 antibodies, and shifts the immune response away from a Th2-dominated allergic profile.
