Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Allergovac Poliplus is a subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) product developed by Roxall Medicina España (ROXALL Medizin) for the treatment of polysensitized patients. It consists of a polymerized-depot formulation containing a mixture of two allergenic extracts, typically derived from pollens (such as *Olea europaea* and *Phleum pratense*) or mites. The polymerization process, often using glutaraldehyde, is designed to reduce the allergenicity of the extracts to improve safety and tolerability while maintaining their immunogenicity. The drug is indicated for patients with allergic rhinitis or rhinoconjunctivitis, with or without associated mild-to-moderate asthma. It is administered via subcutaneous injection using either a one-day rapid schedule or a traditional dose-escalation initiation period followed by maintenance therapy.
