Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Allerslit forte is a high-dose sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) product developed by Allergopharma for the treatment of grass pollen allergies. It is formulated as a sublingual solution containing grass pollen allergens. [4, 6] The therapy is intended for patients with clinically relevant grass pollen sensitivity suffering from allergic rhinitis or rhinoconjunctivitis, with or without controlled asthma. [1, 8] The mechanism of action involves perennial administration to induce immune tolerance towards grass pollen allergens, thereby reducing the allergic response and alleviating symptoms. [4, 7] Clinical studies have evaluated its efficacy and safety, showing a significant reduction in symptom and medication scores compared to placebo. [1, 14]
