Allerzine

Allerzine is a brand of antihistamine medications marketed by Jenburkt Pharmaceuticals, primarily used for the treatment of allergic conditions. The brand encompasses two distinct single-ingredient formulations: one containing 5 mg of levocetirizine dihydrochloride and another containing 10 mg of cetirizine. Both active ingredients are second-generation H1-receptor antagonists that work by selectively inhibiting peripheral H1 receptors. This mechanism prevents histamine from binding to its receptors on effector cells, thereby alleviating typical allergic symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, watery eyes, and itching. Allerzine is indicated for the management of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as chronic idiopathic urticaria.
