Overview

Allo-JaCE03 is a dried allogeneic cultured epidermis developed by Japan Tissue Engineering Co., Ltd. (J-TEC) for the treatment of deep dermal burns. It is an off-the-shelf regenerative medicine product composed of human keratinocytes cultured from donor skin and subsequently processed into a dried sheet. Unlike autologous cultured epidermis, which requires a biopsy from the patient and several weeks of cultivation, Allo-JaCE03 can be stored and applied immediately to burn wounds. The product acts as a biological scaffold that promotes wound healing and epithelialization by releasing essential cytokines and growth factors that stimulate the migration and proliferation of the patient's own keratinocytes. Clinical trials in Japan, including a pivotal confirmatory study, have demonstrated that Allo-JaCE03 significantly improves epithelialization rates in patients with extensive deep dermal burns with a favorable safety profile.
