Overview

Allo MOG CAR-Treg is an allogeneic, gene-edited chimeric antigen receptor regulatory T-cell (CAR-Treg) therapy being developed by PolTREG for the treatment of neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases. The therapy utilizes regulatory T-cells (Tregs) from healthy donors that are engineered to express a CAR specific for Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein (MOG), a protein primarily expressed on the surface of myelinating oligodendrocytes in the central nervous system. By targeting MOG, these cells are designed to localize to the brain and spinal cord to suppress localized autoimmune responses and promote tissue repair. The Multi-Edit aspect refers to the use of gene-editing technology to create an off-the-shelf product by reducing the risk of graft-versus-host disease and immune rejection. It is currently in preclinical development for Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and MOG Antibody Disease (MOGAD).
