Allocetra-OTS + chemotherapy refers to the use of Allocetra-OTS, an off-the-shelf, allogeneic cell-based immunomodulatory therapy, in combination with standard chemotherapy agents. Allocetra-OTS consists of stable early apoptotic cells derived from healthy donor peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), designed to reprogram macrophages and dendritic cells from a pro-inflammatory or pro-tumor state toward a homeostatic or anti-tumor state. The mechanism leverages the natural immune silence induced by apoptotic cells, aiming to rebalance the immune microenvironment and suppress excessive or maladaptive immune responses while enhancing anti-tumor activity. Preclinical studies and early-phase trials are evaluating the combination for synergistic effects in controlling tumor growth and overcoming resistance to conventional therapies. The combination approach is under investigation for various advanced solid tumor malignancies, especially in settings with tumor-associated macrophage–driven immune suppression.
