**AlloCSC-01** is an allogeneic cell therapy product consisting of expanded adult human cardiac stem cells (CSCs) isolated from the right atrial appendages of donors. It exhibits protective, immunoregulatory, and regenerative properties in preclinical models of heart disease, aiming to mitigate adverse ventricular remodeling post-myocardial infarction. Developed by TiGenix (now part of Coretherapix) and tested in the phase I/II CAREMI trial (NCT02439398), it was administered intracoronarily (35×10^6 cells) 5-7 days after ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in patients with left ventricular ejection fraction ≤45% and infarct size ≥25% of left ventricular mass, demonstrating a favorable safety profile with no deaths, major adverse cardiac events, or immune-related issues at 12 months, though exploratory efficacy on infarct size reduction and remodeling was not significant.
