It is being developed as an advanced therapy medicinal product (ATMP) for the stabilization of **abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA)**. The treatment involves a single local injection of the cells (1x10^7 cells/kg) into the aneurysmal sac during an **endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR)** procedure. The therapy leverages the immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties of MSCs to reduce local inflammation and promote tissue repair within the excluded sac, potentially preventing sac expansion and complications such as endoleaks. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase IIa clinical trial (NCT04730232) comparing outcomes to historical cohorts.
