Allogeneic adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stromal cells are a type of multipotent adult stem cell isolated from human adipose (fat) tissue and expanded ex vivo for therapeutic use. As an allogeneic product, the cells are obtained from a donor and administered to a different individual. AD-MSCs display immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, pro-regenerative, and pro-angiogenic properties, primarily through release of paracrine factors. In clinical and preclinical studies, these cells have been shown to regulate inflammatory responses, modulate immune cell function, stimulate tissue regeneration, and promote wound healing. Mechanistically, their effects are linked to modulation of immune pathways, stimulation of endogenous tissue repair, and secretion of trophic factors that support cell survival and angiogenesis. AD-MSCs are being investigated in regenerative medicine for a wide array of conditions, including traumatic and degenerative diseases (e.g., spinal cord injury, Crohn's disease with perianal fistula, diabetes, wound healing disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions)[1][2][3][4].
