Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination cell therapy product comprising three distinct components: - Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs): Donor-derived blood-forming stem cells used to reconstitute the recipient’s bone marrow and immune system, commonly in the treatment of hematologic malignancies and other severe disorders. These cells enable engraftment, immune reconstitution, and can mediate graft-versus-tumor effects. - Dendritic vaccine: A therapeutic vaccine using dendritic cells (DCs), which are potent antigen-presenting cells. These are typically loaded with tumor antigens ex vivo to stimulate a targeted anti-tumor T-cell response upon administration. - Cytotoxic lymphocytes: Immune effector cells such as cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) or natural killer (NK) cells that directly kill cancerous or infected target cells. The combination aims to leverage the curative potential of allogeneic HSC transplantation with enhanced immunotherapeutic effects from both antigen-specific vaccination via dendritic cell vaccines and direct tumor cell killing by adoptively transferred cytotoxic lymphocytes. This multi-modal approach is under investigation for various cancers, especially hematologic malignancies, where it may improve disease control through synergistic immune mechanisms.
