Overview
Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cells used in the context of the REAL-GREFFE observational study (NCT03357172) conducted at Central Hospital (Hôpital Brabois), Nancy, France. These cells are obtained from matched related or unrelated donors and are used as a cellular therapy for patients with hematologic malignancies or other disorders requiring stem cell transplantation. The study specifically investigates the immune cell composition of the graft—including effector T cells, regulatory T cells (Tregs), invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells, and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSC)—and correlates these subsets with post-transplant outcomes such as graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), disease relapse, and infections. The therapy is often administered following conditioning regimens that may include anti-lymphocyte globulin (ATLG or ATG) for GVHD prophylaxis.
