Allogeneic human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell exosomes (haMSC-Exos) are extracellular vesicles harvested from the culture supernatant of human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells. These nano-sized vesicles carry a cargo of proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids (such as microRNAs) that facilitate intercellular communication and exert therapeutic effects. In clinical development for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), these exosomes are administered via nebulized inhalation to deliver anti-inflammatory and pro-regenerative signals directly to the lung parenchyma. The mechanism involves modulating the pulmonary immune environment, reducing the "cytokine storm," and promoting the repair of the alveolar-capillary barrier.
