Allogeneic mesenchymal bone marrow cells are multipotent stromal cells derived from the bone marrow of a donor and administered to a recipient. These cells can differentiate into various cell types including osteoblasts, chondrocytes, myocytes, and adipocytes. They possess immunomodulatory properties—such as low expression of MHC class I and undetectable MHC class II—which allow them to evade immune rejection and be used safely in an allogenic setting[1][5].
