Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Allogeneic mesenchymal trophic factors (MTF) is a cell-free therapeutic preparation developed by Medistem Panama and its subsidiary Translational Biosciences. Derived from the secretome of human umbilical cord tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs), specifically their proprietary "Golden Cells", this therapy consists of a complex mixture of extracellular vesicles, exosomes, growth factors, cytokines, and anti-inflammatory agents (such as PGE2, FGF, and BDNF) naturally secreted by MSCs during culture. MTF is designed to promote tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and support healing without the use of whole cells. It has been investigated for the treatment of osteoarthritis, asthma, and other inflammatory or degenerative conditions, and is administered via various routes including intra-articular, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intranasal.
