Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Allogeneic Microbiota in Glycerol (AMG) is a microbiome therapy consisting of fecal microbiota from healthy donors preserved in glycerol. It is designed to restore gut microbiota diversity and function in patients with disrupted intestinal microbiomes. AMG has shown approximately 60-90% efficacy for decolonization of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) with an acceptable safety profile. This therapy represents a form of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) that aims to restore colonization resistance and gut barrier function through the introduction of diverse commensal bacteria.
