G-CSF mobilized PBSC allograft refers to a hematopoietic stem cell product collected from the peripheral blood of a donor after administration of Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor (G-CSF). G-CSF stimulates the bone marrow to release hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) into the bloodstream, where they are collected via apheresis. These cells are then infused into a recipient (allogeneic transplant) to restore hematopoiesis and provide an immune-mediated graft-versus-tumor effect. This type of graft typically contains higher doses of T-cells (CD3+) and CD34+ cells compared to bone marrow grafts, which influences the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and engraftment kinetics. Clinical management often involves strategies such as capping the CD34+ cell dose to mitigate the risk of chronic GVHD while maintaining sufficient T-cell doses for therapeutic efficacy.
