Allogeneic skeletal myoblasts are an investigational cell therapy consisting of donor-derived skeletal muscle precursor cells. These myoblasts are characterized by their high proliferative capacity and relative resistance to ischemia compared to cardiomyocytes. In clinical applications, particularly for cardiac repair following myocardial infarction or in chronic heart failure, these cells are transplanted directly into the scarred myocardium. The therapeutic goal is to improve ventricular wall thickness, reduce adverse remodeling, and enhance cardiac function through direct integration or paracrine effects.
