Overview

Allogeneic TCR-T cell therapy is an "off-the-shelf" cellular immunotherapy program developed by Lion TCR. This platform utilizes T cells from healthy donors that are genetically engineered to express specific T-cell receptors (TCRs) targeting viral antigens, such as those derived from the Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV). The primary goal is to treat viral-related diseases and associated malignancies, including HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and EBV-related nasopharyngeal carcinoma, without the need for patient-specific manufacturing. By targeting viral epitopes presented on the surface of infected or cancerous cells, these engineered T cells facilitate targeted cell destruction. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development and aims to overcome the logistical and cost barriers associated with autologous cell therapies.
