This investigational cell therapy, developed by PT. Prodia Stem Cell Indonesia (ProSTEM), consists of allogeneic umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) isolated from Wharton's Jelly of umbilical cord tissue. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials for the treatment of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), specifically in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) who have undergone percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The therapy is designed to facilitate cardiac tissue regeneration and repair by reducing inflammation, promoting angiogenesis, and potentially differentiating into cardiac-like cells. Early clinical results have indicated improvements in Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (LVEF) and functional capacity as measured by the 6-Minute Walk Test, with a favorable safety profile.
