Overview

This is an allogeneic cell therapy consisting of Vγ9Vδ2 T cells expanded from healthy donor peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Developed by Fuda Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou, it is designed to treat liver cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. The therapy utilizes the innate-like properties of γδ T cells, which recognize and kill tumor cells in an HLA-independent manner. It has been studied as a standalone treatment and in combination with local ablation techniques like cryosurgery or irreversible electroporation (IRE) to enhance clinical outcomes in late-stage patients.
