Allogenic adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) are mesenchymal stem cells isolated from the adipose tissue of a donor and administered to a genetically non-identical recipient. These multipotent stromal cells possess self-renewal capacity and can differentiate into various cell types, including adipocytes, osteoblasts, chondrocytes, neurocytes, and hepatocytes. Allogenic ADSCs exert their therapeutic effects primarily through paracrine signaling—secreting growth factors (such as VEGF, FGF, HGF), cytokines (including IL-10), and extracellular vesicles that promote angiogenesis, modulate immune responses, reduce inflammation, enhance tissue regeneration and wound healing. They are minimally immunogenic compared to other MSC sources but can still elicit some immune response in recipients. Allogenic ADSCs have been investigated in clinical trials for conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers and ischemic cardiomyopathy (often combined with procedures like CABG), showing promising results in improving wound healing rates and cardiac function[1][3][4][5][6][8][9].
