Overview

Allogenic lyophilized growth factors are a biologic product derived from pathogen-free donor (allogeneic) human platelets. Unlike traditional platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which uses autologous (self-donated) blood, this formulation utilizes standardized numbers of allogenic platelets that are processed and then freeze-dried (lyophilized) to preserve their bioactive components. The resulting product contains a concentrated mix of key regenerative and immunomodulatory proteins—primarily various growth factors such as platelet-derived growth factor, transforming growth factor-beta, fibroblast growth factor, endothelial cell growth factor, connective tissue growth factor, vascular endothelial cell growth factor, and hepatocyte growth factor. These molecules stimulate epithelial cells and fibroblasts to promote new collagen and elastin formation as well as tissue repair[2][3][4][8]. The main clinical applications studied include musculoskeletal disorders such as knee osteoarthritis[1][7], subacromial impingement syndrome[2][6], plantar fasciitis[2], and chronic ulcers[8]. The mechanism is based on enhancing local tissue regeneration by delivering exogenous human platelet-derived signaling molecules in a controlled manner.
