Overview

Allogenic mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue are multipotent stromal cells isolated from the fat (adipose) tissue of healthy donors and administered to unrelated recipients. These cells possess regenerative, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and angiogenic properties. They can differentiate into various cell types (including osteocytes, chondrocytes, and adipocytes), secrete a range of paracrine factors that promote tissue repair and modulate immune responses, and support neovascularization in damaged tissues. Their therapeutic effects are mediated both by direct differentiation into target tissues and by secretion of bioactive molecules that influence local cellular environments. Allogenic AT-MSCs have been investigated for use in regenerative medicine applications such as wound healing (cutaneous wounds), autoimmune diseases (e.g., Crohn’s disease with perianal fistulas), radiation-induced injuries (acute radiation syndrome), bone/cartilage regeneration, vascular/metabolic diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and immune-mediated conditions[1][2][3][5][6]. The use of allogeneic rather than autologous sources allows for off-the-shelf availability without requiring invasive harvesting procedures for each patient.
