Allogenic plasma aliquots are portions of human blood plasma collected from a genetically different donor of the same species (i.e., not the recipient themselves). Plasma is separated from whole blood donations or collected directly by apheresis and then divided into smaller volumes (aliquots) for clinical use. These aliquots are used in transfusion medicine to treat various conditions such as burn shock, coagulopathies, and other situations requiring volume replacement or specific plasma proteins. The mechanism of action is primarily through replacement of deficient or lost blood components (e.g., clotting factors, albumin) and restoration of intravascular volume. Allogenic products carry risks including immune reactions and transmission of infectious agents; therefore, they are processed under strict regulatory standards to minimize these risks[1][3][4][7].
