Allopatch is an acellular human dermal matrix (ADM) derived from donated human cadaveric skin, processed to remove cellular components while preserving the native extracellular matrix (ECM) architecture. Developed by the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation (MTF Biologics), it serves as a biological scaffold that facilitates host cell infiltration, revascularization, and tissue remodeling. The product is available in different forms, including a high-density (HD) version and a pliable reticular layer version, each optimized for specific structural and biological requirements. Allopatch is primarily utilized in orthopedic surgery for the augmentation and bridging reconstruction of large to massive rotator cuff tears and chronic Achilles tendon ruptures, as well as in wound management for the treatment of chronic diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs).
