AlloRx is an allogeneic cell therapy composed of cultured mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from human umbilical cord tissue. Developed by The Foundation for Orthopaedics and Regenerative Medicine, it is currently being evaluated for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The therapy is administered via intrathecal injection, where the MSCs are intended to provide neuroprotective and immunomodulatory effects to slow the progression of the disease. AlloRx also serves as the source for AlloEx, an exosome-rich secretome containing various micro-RNAs and cytokines.
