**AlloStem** is an AlloSource human cellular bone allograft used as a surgical bone-graft substitute in subtalar arthrodesis. It consists of partially demineralized allogeneic bone matrix seeded with viable adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells. When implanted at the fusion site with rigid internal fixation, the graft is intended to provide an osteoconductive scaffold, osteoinductive bone-matrix signals, and osteogenic viable cells that support bone formation and fusion. In the randomized AlloStem-versus-autologous-bone-graft subtalar arthrodesis study, 140 patients were enrolled and 124 underwent surgery; CT-based fusion was assessed at 6 months.
