Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Alluzience is a ready-to-use liquid formulation of abobotulinumtoxinA (botulinum toxin type A), developed for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines (vertical frown lines between the eyebrows) in adult patients under 65 years, particularly when these lines have a significant psychological impact. Unlike traditional botulinum toxin products that require reconstitution with sodium chloride before injection, Alluzience is supplied as a pre-mixed solution, allowing for greater precision and convenience during administration. It is free from human and animal-derived proteins such as human serum albumin and lactose due to its novel production technology. The onset of effect can be observed within 24 hours post-injection, with results typically lasting up to six months—longer than many other botulinum toxin formulations. The most common adverse reactions are headache and injection site reactions; these are generally mild or moderate and reversible[1][3][4][6].
