Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ALM-601 is a small molecule inhibitor of Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 19 (USP19) currently under development by Almac Discovery. USP19 is a deubiquitinating enzyme (DUB) that plays a critical role in muscle protein degradation and metabolic homeostasis. By targeting USP19, ALM-601 aims to counteract muscle wasting and metabolic dysfunction associated with various conditions. The program is in the IND-enabling phase for the treatment of cardiometabolic disease, obesity, sarcopenic obesity, and cancer cachexia.
