Overview
Almonertinib + bevacizumab is a combination therapy that targets both the EGFR and VEGF pathways. Almonertinib is a third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier, while bevacizumab is a monoclonal humanized antibody against vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) that inhibits tumor angiogenesis. This combination has shown promise in treating EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with leptomeningeal metastasis (LM), effectively improving neurological symptoms and potentially prolonging survival time with manageable side effects.
