Alocane

**Alocane** is a Quest Products over-the-counter topical burn-care brand used for temporary relief of pain and itching associated with minor burns, including sunburn. The core burn-relief products use lidocaine hydrochloride 4% as a topical local anesthetic; certain Alocane Plus and Alocane Max products additionally contain benzalkonium chloride 0.13% as a first-aid antiseptic. Lidocaine inhibits sodium-ion fluxes required for nerve-impulse initiation and conduction, producing local anesthesia and reducing burn-associated pain.
