Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**AloCelyvir** is an investigational allogeneic cell-based oncolytic virotherapy consisting of ex vivo-expanded, bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells loaded with the replication-competent oncolytic adenovirus ICOVIR-5. The mesenchymal cells are intended to serve as a delivery vehicle for the virus, while ICOVIR-5 is engineered for preferential replication in cells with deregulated E2F-retinoblastoma pathway signaling, leading to tumor-cell lysis and potentially immunogenic antitumor effects. AloCelyvir has been studied in pediatric brain tumors, metastatic uveal melanoma, and other cancers, and is also being evaluated by intra-arterial administration in pediatric autoimmune refractory epilepsy and Rasmussen encephalitis.
