Overview

CD19 HD Allo CAR T is an allogeneic CAR-T cell therapy being developed by Editas Medicine in collaboration with Bristol Myers Squibb. The therapy consists of allogeneic alpha-beta (αβ) T cells engineered using CRISPR-based gene editing technology to target CD19, a protein expressed on the surface of B cells. Designed as an off-the-shelf treatment, it aims to treat various autoimmune diseases by depleting pathogenic B cells. This program represents Editas Medicine's first in-house developed technology for clinical use in the allogeneic CAR-T setting, and its IND/CTA has been accepted for Phase 1 clinical trials.
