Overview

alpha-HA-1 is a preclinical-stage T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy being developed by BlueSphere Bio. It is designed to target the minor histocompatibility antigen HA-1, which is a blood-restricted antigen expressed on hematopoietic cells but not on most other tissues. This therapy is intended for use in the setting of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) to treat hematologic malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). By targeting HA-1, the therapy aims to induce a graft-versus-leukemia (GVL) effect without causing significant graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in non-hematopoietic tissues.
