ALPHA JECT micro 2000 is an innovative, oil-based, inactivated bacterial vaccine developed for the prevention of vibriosis and pasteurellosis (photobacteriosis) in farmed sea bass. The vaccine contains inactivated Listonella anguillarum (serotype O1) and Photobacterium damsela subsp. piscicida as active components. It is administered via intraperitoneal injection, typically at a low dose of 0.05 ml per fish, allowing vaccination of smaller fish (minimum weight ~12 grams). The mechanism of action involves stimulating the immune system to produce specific antibodies against these pathogens, thereby increasing resistance to disease outbreaks during the farming cycle. The formulation uses a non-mineral oil adjuvant for gradual antigen release and long-lasting protection until harvest[6][1].
