Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AXOFIT-G100 is an oral fixed-dose combination of gabapentin, methylcobalamin, and alpha lipoic acid developed by SSK Pharma. It is approved and marketed in India for the treatment of neuropathic pain, such as diabetic neuropathy and post-herpetic neuralgia. Gabapentin acts as an anticonvulsant and analgesic by binding to the alpha-2-delta subunits of voltage-gated calcium channels, thereby reducing the release of excitatory neurotransmitters. Methylcobalamin, an active form of vitamin B12, serves as a cofactor for methionine synthase, promoting myelin sheath regeneration and nerve repair. Alpha lipoic acid is a potent antioxidant and mitochondrial cofactor that mitigates oxidative stress and improves nerve conduction. Together, these components provide synergistic relief from neuropathic pain and support nerve health.
