Overview

Alpharix is a prophylactic vaccine designed for the prevention of influenza in adults and children from 6 months of age. It contains inactivated influenza viruses, meaning they cannot cause the disease. The vaccine functions by stimulating the body's immune system to produce specific antibodies against the influenza viruses it is designed to target, thereby conferring protection against the flu. The vaccine targets influenza viruses in accordance with official recommendations.
