Alpinia officinarum rhizome extract is derived from the dried rhizomes of *Alpinia officinarum* Hance, a perennial plant of the Zingiberaceae (ginger) family, commonly known as lesser galangal. The extract contains diverse phytochemicals such as diarylheptanoids, flavonoids (e.g., galangin, isorhamnetin, kaempferide), phytosterols, and terpenes.
