Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ALPP-targeting CAR-T is a preclinical chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Shanghai Si Dan Race BioTechnology (Innovative Cellular Therapeutics) for the treatment of solid tumors, specifically testicular cancer and ovarian cancer. The therapy is designed using the company's proprietary CoupledCAR platform, which aims to overcome the challenges of CAR-T cell therapy in solid tumors by enhancing the expansion and activation of tumor-targeting CAR-T cells. The CAR-T cells specifically target alkaline phosphatase, placental (ALPP), a cell surface protein ectopically expressed in ovarian and testicular cancers, to selectively eliminate ALPP-expressing tumor cells.
