Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Alsarex is a proprietary Ayurvedic herbo-mineral formulation developed and marketed by Charak Pharma for the management of acid peptic disorders. It is indicated for hyperacidity, indigestion, heartburn, gastric ulcers, and duodenal ulcers. Alsarex acts as a natural antacid and anti-ulcerant; it reduces gastric acid secretion, neutralizes excess acid, and strengthens the stomach's mucosal defense. The formulation contains a synergistic blend of traditional Ayurvedic herbs and minerals, including Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Usheera (Vetiveria zizanioides), Udumbara (Ficus racemosa), and Sutshekhar Ras. Together, these components help soothe gastric irritation, relieve pain, and promote the healing of mucosal erosions.
