Overview

FPA150 (alsevalimab) is a fully human monoclonal antibody that targets B7-H4, a transmembrane protein of the B7 family known to negatively regulate T cell function. B7-H4 is highly expressed in several cancers, including breast, ovarian, endometrial, and other gynecological tumors. FPA150 blocks the inhibitory effect of B7-H4 on T cells and enhances antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), providing a dual mechanism of action aimed at both reversing immune suppression and directly killing tumor cells. It is being developed as an immuno-oncology therapy for advanced solid tumors that overexpress B7-H4. The drug was originally developed by Five Prime Therapeutics[1][2][6][8].
