ALT-P1

ALT-P1 is a long-acting recombinant human growth hormone (hGH) fused to an engineered alpha1-antitrypsin variant (NexP), developed as a once-weekly injectable therapy for growth hormone deficiency in adults and children. The fusion with NexP extends the half-life of hGH, allowing for less frequent dosing compared to daily injections. Preclinical and phase 1 clinical studies have shown that ALT-P1 increases IGF-1 levels in a dose-dependent manner, has an extended half-life (up to ~40 hours at higher doses), and demonstrates good safety and tolerability without significant immunogenicity or severe adverse events. The drug is being developed by Alteogen and CJ HealthCare Corporation[1][2][3][6].
