Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aluminium phosphate is an antacid and gastric mucosal protective agent used to manage symptoms of gastric acidity and mucosal irritation. It works by neutralizing gastric hydrochloric acid and forming a protective, colloidal film over the gastric and esophageal mucosa, which shields the lining from further damage and promotes healing. In China, a specific formulation known as ALUPHO (Aluminium Phosphate Oral Suspension) is being developed by Pharmatis and Yikang (Guangzhou) Consulting Service. It is currently in Phase 3 clinical trials (e.g., CTR20253554) evaluating its efficacy and safety in relieving epigastric pain associated with chronic gastritis.
