Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Trigel Susp. is an oral combination medication developed by Daewon Pharm for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders including gastritis and peptic ulcers. It consists of two antacids, aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, which work by neutralizing excess stomach acid, and oxethazaine, a potent local anesthetic. Oxethazaine is unique among local anesthetics for its ability to remain effective in the highly acidic environment of the stomach, providing rapid symptomatic relief from pain and inflammation of the gastric mucosa. The suspension formulation is designed to coat the stomach lining for prolonged effect.
