Overview

ALVAC(2)-NY-ESO-1(M) + TRICOM is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine comprised of a recombinant canarypox virus vector (ALVAC(2)) encoding the tumor antigen NY-ESO-1(M) and TRICOM, a set of three human costimulatory molecules (B7-1/CD80, ICAM-1, and LFA-3). It is designed to induce both cellular and humoral immune responses against NY-ESO-1, a highly immunogenic cancer-testis antigen expressed in various malignancies. The addition of TRICOM aims to enhance T-cell activation and anti-tumor immune response. The vaccine is administered subcutaneously and has been studied primarily in patients with epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancers who express NY-ESO-1 or LAGE-1 and are in remission after standard therapy[1][2][3].
