ALVAC-RG rabies glycoprotein

ALVAC-RG rabies glycoprotein (vCP65) is a recombinant vaccine candidate that uses the canarypox virus (ALVAC) as a vector to express the rabies virus G glycoprotein. The vaccine is non-replicating in mammalian cells but expresses the target antigen, inducing an immune response without productive viral replication. It was developed as a safer alternative for immunization against rabies and has demonstrated safety and immunogenicity in preclinical studies and early-phase clinical trials. The primary indication is prevention of rabies infection[1][2][3][6].
