ALX-101 Gel Vehicle

ALX-101 Gel Vehicle is the inactive topical formulation used as a vehicle control in clinical trials for ALX-101, a novel small molecule Liver X Receptor (LXR) agonist developed by Ralexar Therapeutics. ALX-101 is specifically designed for topical application to treat inflammatory skin conditions, primarily atopic dermatitis, by leveraging the role of LXRs in regulating skin barrier homeostasis and suppressing cutaneous inflammation. The vehicle gel is used in randomized, double-blind studies to compare against active concentrations (such as 1.5% and 5% ALX-101 gel) to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety profile of the active compound in adult and adolescent populations with moderate atopic dermatitis.
